Kate Wanwimolruk is a cookbook editor. During her ten-year publishing career, she has worked in-house for Bloomsbury Publishing Plc, Orion and Oxford University Press. In 2014, Kate and Nick relocated from London to New Zealand. Since then, she’s been freelance recipe writing, editing and project managing cookbooks for publishers from the UK to Australia. This work encompasses ghostwriting, recipe testing, structural and project editing for food publishing lists worldwide, including Phaidon, Quadrille, Penguin Random House, Hardie Grant and Murdoch Books. Publications she has edited have been featured on The Guardian’s ‘25 best food books of 2015’ and in the Times. Kate is a keen cook and food enthusiast herself and also has editorial experience on other non-cookery books such as gardening, craft, fashion, popular culture and health titles.
Nick Ascroft is a writer and editor, with over 20 years’ experience in the book industry. He has worked at publishers of legal, academic, architecture, sustainable development, history and sports books, in the UK and New Zealand. Since cutting the strings, he has freelanced for leading UK publishers, including Bloomsbury, Lonely Planet, Faber & Faber and Penguin Random House. As a writer, he has published a football book through Bloomsbury UK and three poetry collections through Victoria University Press. He is the editor for damson & beet’s THROWBACK series, looking at alternative music through the decades.
